EM Match Task Force

Objectives:

The task force will provide the following deliverables:

  1. Design and implement a program-level needs assessment related to the match/application environment in EM building on the needs assessment conducted immediately after the 2022 match (March 2022). Deliver a formal report to the CORD BoD and participating EM organizations including a list of prioritized interventions with outcome measures to develop by May 1, 2023.

  1. Deliver a CORD Connects outlining the next steps to be delivered in Spring 2023 as well as a brief report to the membership at the Business Meeting at CORD AA23 in Las Vegas.

  2. Develop a research agenda to better understand the changing EM match environment to be included in the May 1, 2023 report.

  3. Objectives 1-3 should explicitly attend to implications for DEI within our specialty from the perspective of both the program and applicants.

  4. Execute the research agenda with every 6-month progress reports (June 30 and Jan 30) to the CORD BoD which will be shared with participating EM organizations

  5. Execute program and student interventions with report on progress and outcomes with progress reports every 6-months (June 30 and Jan 30) to the CORD BoD which will be shared with participating EM organizations
