I serve as my residency's social media liaison and plan to take over our accounts as hopeful chief resident next year. I have a creative flair and enjoy capturing impactful moments through photography and videography and making unique and attention-grabbing, professional captions. I understand how to effectively utilize "tags", Instagram stories, and hashtags to promote programs.

As part of UNMC's Health Education and Academic Leaders graduate track participant I have started to learn important strategies to improve my mentorship and education skills. This involves monthly seminars where we practice curriculum development, discuss effective teaching strategies, and develop our own teaching philosophy based on our own strengths.

We are also given direct feedback by learners. This has been an effective way to transition into my more senior resident position and has given me concrete goals when mentoring and teaching both on and off shifts. Being a part of this program gives me insight on my strengths and weaknesses and the opportunity for focused self-reflection. There is often real-time feedback on my teaching and HEAL has provided a solid foundation to build upon while starting my career in education and administration.
