Reasons for wanting to join the CORD Board of Directors & Opinions and Priorities for the Board: I am very interested in becoming more involved in CORD. I have a long record of educational involvement as well as involvement with CORD. My passion is the connection between faculty development, curriculum development, and active learning modalities. My goal is to leverage my interests on a broader scale to engage with new educational challenges.
Special Skills, talents, and perspectives that you would like to share: I have a long history of educational leadership and educational innovation. I am very passionate about curricular development and faculty development.
Previous CORD Experience: I have been a member of multiple committees over the years. I was the Chair of the County Commitee. I have been the co-director of the CORD SE Regional Conference. Also, I am currently on the CBME task force for ILP/Coaching development.
History of Program Leadership Experience: I have had multiple leadership positions both within Emory and outside. I have been the Director of Post Graduate Medical Education, Assistant Residency Director, Co-Director for Emory SOM Junior Faculty Development Course, Director for Educational Innovation and Chair of the Education Committee.
Leadership Experience: I have held leadership positions at CORD including the Chair of the County Committee and have been a member on multiple committees. I have been on the organizing committee for the Rocky Mountain Winter Conference. I have been co-director for the CORD SE Conference twice.
Knowledge or experience with large/complex organizations or other non-profits beyond CORD: My interest is in curriculum development and faculty development. Through this I have been involved with conference development through Rocky Mountain, and the CORD Regional meeting. I have been navigating Emory SOM to be involved with committees and faculty development. I have been involved in a variety of roles with ACEP and CORD.
