Reasons for wanting to join the CORD Board of Directors & Opinions and Priorities for the Board: As Emergency Medicine navigates the transition to a new application platform, transparency and communication are paramount to ensuring programs feel supported in this change. Having worked with the BOD this year spearheading the transition process so far in my position as Chair of APIC, I am looking to join the CORD BOD in order to continue to guide the Emergency Medicine community through this transition.

My experience in Clerkship and Residency leadership gives me insight into the needs of both programs and applicants as well as knowledge of the nuances and challenges of the residency application process. Joining the CORD BOD would allow me the opportunity to continue to oversee the on-boarding and training of our membership.  Additionally, the ResidencyCAS platform brings opportunity for enhanced data-driven specialty level guidance. My being integrated with the BOD will allow for more streamlined dissemination of the information our community needs in order to adapt their approach for the upcoming application cycles and recruit the best candidates for our future workforce.

Responding to membership concerns and sharing data-driven guidance with the EM community will allow me to further CORD’s mission to support our EM Residency Programs and advocate on behalf of program faculty and applicants to the field.
