Reasons for wanting to join the CORD Board of Directors & Opinions and Priorities for the Board: During my time as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors, I have gained valuable insight into how CORDcan continue to advance emergency medicine education during this unique period of change. I fully understandthe significant responsibility of stewarding CORD's financial health. If elected as Secretary Treasurer, I wouldleverage my prior experience to ensure our organization maintains both fiscal strength and operationalflexibility as we work toward educational excellence. The landscape of emergency medicine education isevolving. This includes potential changes to our residency application platform, new processes for boardcertification, and the future of competency-based medical education. We also face ongoing challenges tocreating and maintaining physically and psychologically safe learning environments while supporting the well-being of our educators and learners. My focus would be on strengthening CORD's capacity to address these complex challenges through strategicresource allocation and innovative solutions. Having faced similar challenges in my own institutions, Iunderstand the daily struggles our members encounter with resident recruitment, protected hours for corefaculty, and institutional support for educational initiatives. By combining careful financial oversight withtransparent leadership and member engagement, I hope to advance CORD's mission of leading emergencymedicine education while fostering the collaboration and innovation needed to support our community throughthese times. As Secretary-Treasurer, I would ensure that CORD's resources are managed responsibly andeffectively to develop the guidance and support our members need.
