Faculty Teaching Award

Faculty Teaching Award 

This award is intended to recognize contributions of a junior faculty member to the education of emergency medicine residents. Qualities that will be evaluated include:

  • Commitment to teaching
  • Contributions to the residency program
  • Involvement in state or national activities that promote resident education 

Each program director or department chair may nominate one faculty member for this award. The award will be limited to emergency medicine faculty with five or fewer years participation as an emergency medicine faculty member in emergency medicine residency programs. Please submit:

  • Faculty's curriculum vitae 
  • Provide specific information regarding evaluations of teaching ability by residents and students
  • Objective evidence of outstanding contributions to the educational program 
  • Descriptions of activities in support of resident education at the state and national level

To highlight the importance with which CORD regards the development of excellence in the emergency medicine community, the recipient will personally be presented with a plaque during the CORD Academic Assembly.
